I have been a driving instructor since 2010, I started with one of the biggest well-known driving schools before starting my own driving school.
I am here to help anyone who wishes to teach someone to drive, or take them out for private practice, by giving you an insight into the wording and the correct road procedures to use when instructing.
My youngest daughter got her Full UK driving test within 2 weeks of her 17th birthday, she took her Theory test on her birthday and we found a practical test cancellation, she listened to what I told her and took everything on board, she had lots of practical road awareness from riding her pushbike everywhere over the previous years. I recommend taking your theory as soon as possible, once you have it, you have 2 years to pass your practical test and it will also give you an insight to the laws and signs of the road.
I will show you each lesson plan and the techniques and wording to use to get the best out of a learner driver. Please remember that every driving instructor has a personal way of teaching and your learner may pick up some things quickly, while other things will take a little more time. Driving is about learning and changing those brain paths to enable us to drive. Learning to drive is the easy part – road awareness takes time, use all the skills you have learned from riding a bike on the road or even crossing the road.
If you have never taught someone to drive before and you are about to embark on this, try and put yourself back to when you started to drive and how confusing, possibly fighting, with all the different leavers and pedals and feeling under pressure from other road users. I have confidence in you – sign up today and start your driving journey, good luck.
I am here to promote safety on the roads and you will find one module in the pack all about this very soon.
